Over the last 17 years, Tamara Ireland Stone has provided marketing and communications counsel to some the biggest brands in technology, including Apple, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Symantec and VMware. She has also worked closely with numerous start-ups and venture capital firms on marketing programs ranging from the initial corporate positioning to content development and communications strategies.

Prior to forming Rainmaker Communications, Tamara was the Director of Public Relations—and the third member of growing the marketing team—at Siebel Systems, where she built the organization's first PR department and spearheaded the communications efforts that skyrocketed Siebel's reputation around the globe. Previously, she was the director of the Apple Computer account at Niehaus Ryan Wong (NRW), where she participated in the landmark "Think Different" campaign and launched the first iMac. For the previous six years, she was the director of NRW's enterprise software practice.

A native of Silicon Valley, Tamara has been passionate about technology since she was a teenager, when she took her first job building and testing Atari game boards in her parents' garage.

Tamara holds a degree in journalism and communications at California State University, Chico.
