Rainmaker Communications Founding Partner
Since founding Rainmaker Communications in 2000, Stacy Peña has served numerous small and large companies spanning consumer and enterprise technologies. She has also worked with many service companies, including venture capital firms and financial services providers.
Her 20 years of experience range from work with tiny start-ups to the world's largest technology company. Prior to Rainmaker Communications, Stacy held top communications positions on the corporate side, most recently managing public relations for IBM's $2 billion consumer division. Before that, she headed up communications at The Learning Company, a consumer software leader, and at Computer Curriculum Corporation, an educational software company owned by Simon & Schuster. Stacy also spent several years working for Thomas Associates, a high tech PR firm that was later acquired by Ketchum.
Stacy holds a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of California, Davis and a Certificate of Design from Parsons School of Design, New York. She serves on the board of the Girls Leadership Institute.
